Orfit Industries America has received FDA clearance to market its Nanor hybrid thermoplastic technology for use in an immobilization mask for radiation therapy. The Company estimates that immobilization products using the advanced technology will become available for sale in the United States during the first half of 2014.

Orfit's advanced nano-technology will be used in the Company's new Nanor masks, creating a mask that is 33% to 50% thinner than conventional masks. These masks exhibit much less shrinkage and are light yet stable, ultimately increasing patient comfort. Since the mask better conforms to a patient's head, it provides higher stability during radiation therapy. The nano technology-enhanced masks are also better for the environment, as they use less material and create less waste.
