The speaker will discuss general theory of both 2D and 3D robotic guidance including techniques for calibration, part and feature location, and robot/vision system communications. The presentation will provide examples of varying technology offerings in today’s marketplace. The discussion will include real-life examples and details of how to achieve successful integration in two or three applications and how those applications facilitate flexible automation. The session will conclude with a forward-looking evaluation of related future trends and technology to watch for in coming years. The presentation will be targeted for both engineering professionals and project/corporate managers involved in or interested in the integration of machine vision guided robotics.
