GROB Systems announces its new partnership with Merrifield Machinery Solutions of Pontiac, MI. Merrifield will assume sales and service for the GROB line of 5-axis universal machining centers, high-volume production systems, and assembly and testing equipment in Michigan.
GROB Systems will continue its direct support of automotive OEMs with dedicated account managers, a strategy which has earned the company multiple supplier awards in recent years.
“We were really impressed with GROB’s customer-focused mentality and knew it would be a good a fit for our customers in many industries,” says Pete Vandersluis, Sales Manager at Merrifield Machinery Solutions. “GROB is not well known outside of the major automotive OEMs, but they should be. They’ve been building world-class machine tools in Ohio for more than three decades,” he said.
Bill Vejnovic, vice president of sales at GROB Systems says, “Merrifield has a solid reputation as a service and solutions company with a good background in 5-axis applications. I’m confident they are the right team to introduce GROB technology to Michigan’s die/mold and other industries.”
According to Vejnovic, new machine installations, technical support and replacement parts will remain the direct responsibility of GROB Systems. “The Merrifield team will be an additional resource for new customers,” he said. To ensure fast service response, 17 Michigan-based service engineers will be trained at the 300,000 square foot GROB Systems factory in Bluffton, Ohio.
