Such relevant manufacturing topics and trends will be highlighted during the inaugural Motion, Drive & Automation North America (MDA North America 2014) and Industrial Automation North America (Industrial Automation NA 2014) events co-located with the IMTS Show at McCormick Place in Chicago from Sept. 8-13, 2014. The MDA Conference
On Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014, Hannover Fairs USA in partnership with GIE Media will host The MDA Conference. During this all-day program, experts will discuss best practices in motion control, power transmission, and fluid power. Topics range from industrial communications, robotic control, guidance and inspection, linear actuators and 3D printing. Speakers from Beckhoff Automation, Festo Corporation and Rollon Corporation will discuss the latest advancements in each of these areas. Program sessions will also highlight practical end-user applications about how to apply cutting-edge technology to increase efficiency and improve safety. The Global Automation & Manufacturing Summit
On Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, Hannover Fairs USA in partnership CFE Media will present The Global Automation & Manufacturing Summit. This full day of cutting-edge content and information will focus on topics ranging from industrial automation, mobility and maintenance practices to information management. Experts from Chicago’s Digital Manufacturing and Design Innovation Institute, McGladrey, Molex and Sur-Seal Corporation will offer valuable manufacturing insights to help attendees implement change, to keep up with industry challenges and to meet their operating goals. The ISA Training Workshop
During a two-day workshop from Sept. 10 - 11, The ISA Training Workshop will feature educational sessions focused on using the ANSI/ISA-62443 standards to protect and secure an Industrial Control System (IC32). The workshop will also explore the procedural and technical differences between the security for traditional IT environments and those solutions appropriate for SCADA or plant floor environments. The course is required for the ISA99/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Fundamentals Specialist Certificate Program and offers 1.4 continuing education unit credits.
